ADBL is a manufacturer of cosmetics and automotive accessories for car detailing enthusiasts and detailing studios. During the design and construction phase of their new office, they decided to allocate one of the rooms for an Office Gym.
GOAL
Investing in an office gym can bring tangible benefits for both employees and the entire company. Here are some of the benefits the client considered when creating the gym for their team:
- Improvement of physical health – regular exercise helps maintain good physical condition and prevents many diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and heart diseases.
- Increased productivity – physical exercise increases energy levels and improves concentration, which translates into higher work efficiency.
- Stress reduction and improved well-being.
- Greater team integration - joint exercises can build better relationships between employees.
- Motivation for a healthy lifestyle - access to a gym in the office motivates employees to exercise regularly and lead a healthier lifestyle.
- Reduced absenteeism due to illness - healthier employees are less likely to get sick, resulting in fewer days of absence from work
- Increased engagement - employees who use the office gym often feel more connected to the company, increasing their engagement.

EQUIPMENT
When creating an office gym, several key factors must be considered to make it functional, safe, and well-received by employees.
Space and Location
We supported our client ADBL throughout the process of building the Office Gym. At the very beginning, we met at their office to see the area designated for the gym, understand their perspective, and learn about the training needs of the team. The dedicated 175m2 allowed for the creation of four training zones:
- Cardio zone
- Free weights zone
- Machine zone
- Well-equipped zone for cross and functional training
Equipment and Furnishings
Thanks to the meeting and conversation with the client, we had a view of the room layout and could properly select equipment based on the preferences of future users and prepare a visualization project.
The resulting space allows for a very diverse range of training sessions. Besides cardio machines and free weights, the space also includes equipment for martial arts training.
An additional convenience is the possibility of hiring a trainer who will help employees use the equipment and provide training advice.
It is also essential to plan access to changing rooms, showers, and personal storage areas, as well as to define the rules for using the gym.
An important factor is safety and hygiene, including conducting regular maintenance inspections and cleaning and disinfecting equipment after each use to maintain cleanliness and comfort during workouts.
Continuous contact with the client, their openness to our proposals, and good cooperation allowed us to create a beautiful and functional training space at ADBL's headquarters.
